DineSafe Toronto: Public health inspectors find food safety infractions at three local eateries (Dec. 22)

Toronto Public Health issued conditional pass warnings to three local eateries over the past week.

Pico located at 130 Spadina Ave was issued a conditional pass on Dec. 15 for the following infractions:

  • Fail to provide thermometer in refrigeration equipment

  • Handwashing stations not conveniently accessible by food handlers

La Guanaquita located at 1621 Wilson Ave was issued a conditional pass on Dec. 16 for the following infractions:

  • Fail to provide handwashing stations with adequate supplies (hot and cold water)

  • Refrigerate potentially hazardous foods at internal temperature above 4 C

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen located at 553 Bloor St W was issued a conditional pass on Dec. 16 for the following infractions:

  • Fail to protect against breeding of pests

  • Fail to protect food from contamination or adulteration
