DINE SAFE TORONTO: 15 restaurants get conditional passes this week



This week, Toronto Public Health issued 15 conditional passes for crucial and significant Food Premises Regulation infractions.

One or more such infractions were observed at each noted establishment during inspections between Wednesday, Sept. 4 and Tuesday, Sept. 10.

Food establishments in this report include restaurants, food court vendors and takeout food locations.

- Fail to ensure food handler in food premise protects against contamination by hair

- Fail to protect against harbouring of pests

- Fail to protect against harbouring of pests

One or more significant infractions were observed under the Food Premises Regulation during an inspection on Sept. 9.

- Food premise maintained in manner permitting adverse effect on food

-Fail to ensure equipment surface sanitized as necessary

- Food premise not maintained to permit sanitary maintenance of walls

- Food premise not maintained with clean floors in food-handling room

- Fail to protect against harbouring of pests

- Fail to maintain records of pest control measures taken

One or more significant infractions were observed under the Food Premises Regulation during an inspection on Sept. 5.

- Refrigerate potentially hazardous foods at internal temperature above 4°C

- Food premise not maintained with food handling room in sanitary condition

- Fail to protect against harbouring of pests

- Fail to protect food from contamination or adulteration

- Fail to maintain handwashing stations (liquid soap and paper towels)

- Handwashing stations not conveniently accessible by food handlers

- Food premise not maintained with food handling room in sanitary condition

- Fail to provide handwashing stations with adequate supplies (hot and cold water)

- Fail to provide hot and cold running water in utensil washing area

One or more significant infractions were observed under the Food Premises Regulation during an inspection on Sept. 6.

- Fail to protect food from contamination or adulteration

- Fail to ensure equipment surface cleaned as necessary

- Use utensils not non-toxic in contact with food

- Food premise not maintained with food handling room in sanitary condition

- Use handwashing station other than for handwashing of employees

- Fail to maintain handwashing stations (liquid soap and paper towels)

- Fail to protect against harbouring of pests
