DINE SAFE TORONTO: 7 restaurants and food sellers get conditional pass



This week, our Dine Safe Toronto list includes seven conditional passes issued to food establishments by Toronto Public Health for crucial and significant Food Premises Regulation infractions.

One or more such infractions were observed at each noted establishment during inspections between Sept. 8 and 22. This week's list includes information from the last two weeks, because information was not available last week.

Food establishments in this report include restaurants, food court and takeout vendors, and bakeries, food markets and grocery and convenience stores.

CONDITIONAL PASS
CROWN PRINCE FINE DINING AND BANQUET, 3600 VICTORIA PARK AVE.

A conditional pass was issued after the following Food Premises Regulation infractions were observed during an inspection Sept. 16.

• Fail to protect food from contamination or adulteration.

• Fail to ensure food handler in food premise washes hands as necessary to prevent contamination of food.

• Use multi-service articles not of sound and tight construction.

• Use utensils not free from cracks in contact with food.

• Fail to provide hand-washing stations with adequate supplies (hot and cold water).

• Hand-washing stations not conveniently accessible by food handlers.

• Fail to collect waste when necessary to maintain sanitary condition.

GOOD SOUP SMOKERS, 254 EDDYSTONE AVE.

A conditional pass was issued after the following Food Premises Regulation infraction was observed during an inspection Sept. 8.

• Fail to protect against harbouring of pests.

KINOYA, 293 KING ST. W.

A conditional pass was issued after the following Food Premises Regulation infractions were observed during an inspection Sept. 22.

• Fail to protect food from contamination or adulteration.

• Sanitize utensils using agent for which test reagent not readily available.

• Sanitize utensils in chlorine solution of less than 100 p.p.m. of available chlorine.

• Fail to provide thermometer in refrigeration equipment.

PUNJABI HAVELI SWEETS & RESTAURANT, 130 WESTMORE DR.

A conditional pass was issued after the following Food Premises Regulation infraction was observed during an inspection Sept. 22.

• Fail to ensure equipment surface cleaned as necessary.

ROYAL PAAN, 671 MARKHAM RD.

A conditional pass was issued after the following Food Premises Regulation infractions were observed during an inspection Sept. 22.

• Fail to protect food from contamination or adulteration.

• Fail to provide hand-washing stations with adequate supplies (hot and cold water).

• Sanitize utensils in chlorine solution of less than 100 p.p.m. of available chlorine.

SAN COFFEE ROOM, 135 OSSINGTON AVE.

A conditional pass was issued after the following Food Premises Regulation infractions were observed during an inspection Sept. 9.

• Fail to maintain hand-washing stations (liquid soap and paper towels).

• Fail to provide hot and cold running water in food preparation area.

• Fail to equip sanitary facility with hot and cold running water.

THE BURGER CELLAR, 3391 YONGE ST.

A conditional pass was issued after the following Food Premises Regulation infractions were observed during an inspection Sept. 11.

• Fail to protect against harbouring of pests.

• Fail to maintain records of pest control measures taken.
