Some cheese products distributed throughout Quebec are being recalled because they might contain pieces of metal wire.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency said Saturday that Brins de Gouda cheese, with a lot number of 12-0687, a best-before date of May 18 and in sizes of 100, 180, 230, 260, 300 and 500 grams are subject to the recall.
Le Populaire cheese, in 335-gram packages, a lot number of 12-687 and best-before-date of Aug. 3, were also included in the warning.
The CFIA said no injuries had been reported and that the manufacturer, Fromagerie Bergeron Inc. of Saint-Antoine-de-Tilly, Que., had voluntarily been recalling the affected cheeses.
