DINE SAFE PEEL: Five restaurants warned with yellow card

These are the inspection results for establishments across Brampton and Mississauga for the week of July 14 to to July 21, 2017. 

These establishments were inspected by Peel Health Inspectors in accordance with the Ontario Food Premises Regulation.

Five places were given a Conditional Pass by public health inspectors, who routinely check local restaurants, cocktail bars/beverage rooms, bakeries and take-out food establishments.

CONDITIONAL PASS 

Barburrito – 17B - 660 Eglinton Ave W Mississauga ON L5R 3V2

One or more significant infractions were observed under the Food Premises Regulation during an inspection on July 20, 2017.

Did operator keep hazardous food out of the danger zone temperature? (Significant risk) No

Did operator provide and use accurate and easy-to-read thermometers? No

Did operator store food to prevent contamination and/or adulteration? (Significant Risk) No

Did operator provide a separate and easily accessible handwashing sink? No

Did operator provide supplies to ensure sufficient dishwashing and sanitizing? No

Did operator provide and use accurate and easy-to-read thermometers? No

Did operator store food to prevent contamination and/or adulteration? (Significant Risk) No

Did operator provide supplies to ensure sufficient dishwashing and sanitizing? No

Did operator provide two or three compartment sinks of sufficient size and drainage racks for washing and sanitizing utensils? No

Did at least one food handler/manager have a valid food handler certification? No 

Charges do not necessarily result in failure of the health inspection; they simply highlight problems for which the establishments were penalized. The establishments are given a chance to get back into compliance and pass their health inspections.
